My angel collection

When I was a child my favourite Christmas ornament was an angel that my grandmother (my fathers mother) had on her tree. This is what it looks like.

Not the prettiest, I know...lol But somehow I was so fond of it, that my grandmother told me it would be mine someday, so I could hang it on my own tree. And every year she hang close to the top :)

Somehow angels have always ment something to me, but I never thought about it. All I know is I always felt a kind of calmness inside looking at angels in any form and shape. So I bought a few around Christmas time, because they somehow seemed important to me.

Then my father suddenly passed away. I don't know if it was a grieving process or something, but I started to buy angels in all kind of forms. Today I have over 500 and I've had to say stop for a while, until I know where to place them all...lol

This is some pictures of how it look :)

  1. OMG that IS a lot of angels! I do believe in angels and pray to my guardian angel whenever I'm in the car, asking to watch over me and all those around me, to get us safely where we are going, to reach our destination and return to our families.

  2. I've been teasing my husband, saying we need to expand the house so that there will be enough room for my collection....lol
Several has told me to make a little museum so others can enjoy it too. That's why I said so to my husband. Only joking of course...lol
I've actually bought an angel on e-bay from the US, to place on the sunscreen in my car. The angel is holding a banner where it says "Don't drive faster then your angels can fly". I'll see if I can't find a picture of it.
